Listen to a few tracks I’ve worked on.

 Sleep Radio - Nina White

A track that I produced for Singer-Songwriter Nina White under my pseudonym something fragile. I played guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and cello on this one.

I really enjoyed writing the string parts for this song. Once I had the atmosphere established, the parts seemed to just fall into place. I love how the cellos, especially the pizzicato, bring a sense of urgency and confidence to the final verse while maintaining the organic feel of the song.

 February - something fragile

I released this song under my pseudonym something fragile in 2020. I played classical guitar and cello on this one.

During the height of the pandemic I had been experimenting with playing a nylon string classical guitar tuned like a cello. I had written the main theme of this track on cello in 2019, but I found it felt much more at home on the guitar.

The original riff came to represent a lot of the confusion that I was experiencing at the time, and it was originally titled after an ex-girlfriend. It was almost cathartic to write the cello countermelodies that come in about halfway through the track, signaling growth and acceptance.

Leave This Behind - Nina White

I wrote and produced this track for Nina White pre-pandemic at the beginning of 2020. I played electric guitar and electric cello on this one.

This is still one of my favorite tracks I’ve ever worked on, I really like how it came together. I’ve always been a fan of the octave technique I used in the choruses of this track. This technique brings in an interesting contrast between the supernatural and the visceral. Nina had the great idea of creating the vocal collage that you hear at the end. It created such a cool atmosphere, and really elevated the track.

Nina and I recorded most of this song on a $50 mic in a frat house in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula while a party was going on downstairs.

Peckham - Lucy DK, Casper

I wrote and produced this beat for Lucy DK and Casper a while back. I played electric guitar and electric cello on this one.

I had a ton of fun working with the electric cello for this beat. I found that by chopping up small samples, stacking them, and reversing half of them, I could create a very inhuman sound that almost felt like a horn. You’ll hear these moments throughout the track.
